Not a satisfying "fix," but one that seems to work for me. r/firefox Whenever i switch from firefox browser to some other app, even for 1 second, and come back to firefox, the page loads again from start and usually loading takes a lot of time. You can tell because it would ask me if I wanted to close my window on Opera (because I had more than one tab open) or if I wanted to leave my page on Reddit (because I was typing out something). They all displayed the same behavior as if you Alt-F4'd the program. Without fail, any time whichever Chrome instance that I was using crashed, all Chrome flavors and Opera crashed with it at the same exact time. ![]() There are times when a temporary glitch causes the issue at hand and restarting the Chrome process can resolve it in no time. I opened up Firefox, Opera, and various flavors of Chrome at the same time. If Chrome crashes or freezes, the first thing you should do is restart it completely. I found out that Firefox did not have any issues for me. I guess I figured it was some issue with Windows + Chromium browsers. But I'm over an hour without a crash now, when I was previously going a crash every 10-20 minutes. There could be something wrong with your Chrome profile that's causing problems. If it works in another browser, try uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome. For example, try using Firefox or Safari to load the page. You will all hate this option, because it's not really a true fix. To figure out whether this is a problem with the webpage or with Chrome, try opening the page in another browser. ![]() Or at least, I'm not experiencing the problem. If all else fails, a more thorough diagnostic of the computer may be needed to determine the cause of the problem with Chrome.Okay, I THINK I have it fixed. It happens around once an hour, sometimes I'll go 5-6 hours working without a freeze, then it will happened 3 times in an hour. Disabled all that aren't needed and working fine. I had an extension for work causing the issue. If your computer runs out of memory while youre using Chrome, Chrome will likely freeze and/or crash.
